East Park has two types of School Trips. Our Year-End School Fun Trips and our Fall/Winter School trust building/wall climbing programs .

East Park welcomes School Groups to participate in one of the following outdoor Activity Packages.

    * All pricing is based on weekday visits for groups of 30 or more, weekend pricing or smaller group pricing may vary. For lunch we provide fully serviced picnic areas, complete with tables

    The following meals are available for schoolgroups at the Intencity facility.
    MEAL COST: $5.50 includes all tax.

    Meets the requirements of Ontario's Health & Physical Education Curriculum. A highly interactive and dynamic Field Trip.

  • Students of any curriculum where outcome based learning includes the development of Effective Communication Skills, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Fear Management and generalizing specific knowledge and skills to real life situations.

  • Higher Ground Indoor Wall Climbing and Learning Centre Half Day Curriculum Outline

    1. Introduction and Objectives. 10 minutes
    2. Discussion of climbing as an experience to pursue Higher "personal" Ground (Growth, Awareness and Physical Fitness) 10 minutes
    3. Instruction and practice re: Safe Climbing Skills Development (i.e. - stretching, equipment, basic knots, techniques, belaying and planning the climbing route) 40 minutes
    4. Review of the five basic "Learn how to Learn" principles. Discussion of learning process in climbing leading to applications to other parts of their lives. 20 minutes
    5. Team "cooperative" challenge (climbing groups of four): problem solve, plan, implement and evaluate process. 45 minutes
    6. Small group discussions on trust, being needed and being capable to meet others' needs. (How did you feel? What was helpful from your partners? What was not?) 20 minutes
    7. Open climbing activities. 20 minutes

    Class instruction as part of a course 
    (1-1 1/2 hr classes over several days or weeks)

    (minimum 16 students and 10 sessions)

    All above school group programs includes instruction, climbing pass and harness.


    Also Available programs to accelerate development of high Performance Teams
    e.g. -Student Council, Department heads, Staff

    instruction is modified depending on age of students and recommendations from teacher.
